It's heartbreaking.
What leads people to maim
and kill.
What the circumstances were. I'll never fully know.
What the consequences are. I'll never fully know.
It's probably too late
to stop the hate.
What I do know is that I'll do my best
to live with what I have
for those who cannot,
for those who don't know how..
how beautiful existence can be,
how imperfectly happy
one can be
and how within reach happiness is
if only you stop believing the lies,
stop looking for the woods
and realize you are already within the trees.
Spirits are low, so are my funds. So, my son and I jumped on a couple of State provided public modes of transportation that are these bicycles.
I brought my boy to the local park. They had table tennis tables set up, so I figured I try to teach him how to play. I used to play a lot when I was a boy. I was never good at it, though.
Parc André-Citroën is the most beautiful park I've been to.
After that, I napped.
There were a lot of people at the park. Runners, families, sunbathers, kids making out, groups of daycare children, all enjoying the bright sun, the cool grass and the playful water.
We rode our bikes around the area around the park and stumbled on an indoor water park. My boy wanted to get in, but it was 30 Euros. I felt bad. "Probably next time.", I tell him.
We rode by Lady Liberty who was watching over the Seine river.
Paris, je t'aime.
