I Run Paris

July 17, 2016

I ride my mountain bike a lot for cardio. But, since I don't have one here, I reverted back to running. My usual routes of residential streets and park trails back in the US were nothing compared to the urban Paris landscape. It is surreal. Like a dream that I do not want to wake up from.

My usual route in Paris would be towards the local park, Parc André-Citroën and back to the apartment.

This time, I tried going the opposite direction, towards the Eiffel tower.

...which starts out with this view. Cobblestones, beautiful buildings and badass bikes:

...that turns into this:

I couldn't take a picture at the foot of the Eiffel because it was busy with tourists down there.

After I crossed the Seine river, a tunnel:

This reminds me of the rape scene in the movie Irreversible

And this was a long sweet downhill stretch:

I crossed the Seine again with Lady Liberty watching over.

..then went straight to the local grocery and boulangerie for rice, bread and wine. I forgot to bring a bag. It doesn't get any more French than this.
