Jardin du Luxembourg

July 20, 2016

One of the things you realize when growing older is that you develop this insatiable need to nap. Today, I wanted to nap somewhere other than the apartment. So, my buddy and I went to Jardin du Luxembourg.

The park was a good 15 minute walk from the M10 line Odéon train station.

The walk to the park had the usual slideshow of beautiful people, magnificent architecture, graffiti and dried up pee puddles.

Some buses are all electric here in Paris. Not this one pictured here, though. I saw a lot of those in Montmartre.

It seems that there are not a lot of big chain stores to kill small businesses in France. On every Paris block, there's almost a butcher shop, bread shop, patisserie, tailor, watch shop, etc:

And here we have an umbrella store:

Here's just another beautiful roundabout. Nothing flashy:

Walking into the Luxembourg Garden, one would be greeted by a hysterical demon-man's penis:

...much to the amusement of garden visitors:

One is also greeted by a man taking a selfie:

We reached our destination and imitated the Parisians by grabbing a chair and napping.

This one was just eating, though.

After napping, we checked out the place:

We found a playground:

This was a ride where you hang on a rope and the rope glides down a rail and your, like, Tarzan and shit. It was awesome. I went three times.

Parisians really know how to hang out:

I would give my right nut to live in Paris.
